So Lizzy Mercier Descloux's album Press Color is getting a reissue and I think it is great. I never heard of this woman until now and I think everyone needs to take a listen to this album. Fire is the first track on the B-side of the original record and will be the first track on the reissue along with 6 more tracks that were not on the original release. Lizzy was part of a no wave culture that rejected the new wave culture. No Wave was popular in the late 70's up till the mid 80's and was said have taken place in New York City. There was a lot of punk influence in No wave and this was mainly because punk was the staple music when you were voicing your opinion against something.
